ANTICIPATION
Undergraduate Work
“the racing driver’s mind has to have the ability to have amazing anticipation with the speed the car goes.” – emerson fittipaldi
Anticipation becomes a primary factor in the build up before any race. Anticipation of performance, anticipation of competition, anticipation of placement. Those uncertainties help thrust the desire to continue racing. program: create a space to store + display 1950’s American racecars. Space will be open to public only one day per year. Exploiting the concept of anticipation, the user is always given a series of glimpses leading up to a single point where the user can view all the cars at once. This play of views occurs for both user groups: those viewing from exterior 364 days per year, and those within reach of the cars one day per year. |
